Bombs Away, Without the Bombers?
Tonight the All-Stars will take to the Field for the Home-Run Contest. This is the final Season in the current Yankee Stadium, thus the Final All-Star Game, Home-Run Derby, etc. But, is the All-Star Game going the way of the NFL Pro-Bowl? Well, maybe not that bad, but there are a number of Pros that have opted out of the Home Run Derby...including all the Yankees.
Thats right, no Yankees in the final HRD in the current Yankee Stadium. There will be plenty in the main event on Tuesday, but perhaps the Yankees are the pre-Madonnas (and I used that on purpose) that everyone is saying they are. I mean A-Rod isn't participating because it messes up his swing for about 3 weeks. If I were Yankee Brass, Id have about $300 million that said he could turn that swig around a little but quicker. I mean dude, youre totally hot and everything; but as a fan, lets be honest, get out there and shake that money maker!
