So the toughest double of the meet is set-up for tomorrow. Ryan "lover" Lochte will compete in the men's 200 backstroke and 200 IM tomorrow and go for gold. Standing in his way are Aaron Peirsol and Michael Phelps respectively.
I think he would go faster if he swam naked!
In a rematch of the World Championships and the US Olympic Trials, co-world record holders in the 200 backstroke Aaron Peirsol and Ryan (sigh!) Lochte are headed into tomorrows final seeded 1-2.
Lover, I mean Lohte, has a very difficult double. After the finals of the 200 back he has one race until the final of the 200 IM where Michaels Phelps will be going for another win.

Phelps and company take Gold in the 4x200 Free Relay. They broke the World Record by over 4 seconds and become the first ever to go under 7 minutes.
Joining Phelps in the final were Ryan "lots of love" Lochte, Longhorn Ricky Berens and Peter "PVK" Vanderkaay.
This is just unbelieveable! I mean the records are great but the photo op is priceless. It's like the GQ relay!
American swimming golden boy Michael Phelps and sportshag's favorite swimming hotty Ryan Lochte are through to the final of the men's 400IMIn addition, Larson Gensen broke the American record in the 400 free during his preliminary race. I feel some World Records coming on. This is gonna be some fast shit tonight!!!!!
I have been following as much press for the Trials as I can. Don't bother with usaswimming.org, they are really hit and miss with their coverage so far. Best to check out NBCOlympics.com. Great coverage with interviews, pictures and videos.
I did review the media guide for the Trials which is posted at usaswimming.org. Interesting, but I would like to make one recommendation. In an effort to increase the market share that the sport of swimming captures, how about Bruce Weber shooting the Men's (and Womens if you have to) media guide and perhaps some video as well? I mean, Bruce, if youre out there, maybe you just skip over USA Swimming and put a book together of the swimmers yourself? Ive got two words for you "RYAN LOCHTE". I mean honestly! with that mug and a great butt shot, a million copies sold!
The guy is entered in 9 events this week so we can all but guarantee seeing more of this guy next month in China.
Other bodies ... I mean names from the Men's National Team to watch this week are Aaron Piersol, Ricky Berens, and Ben Wildman-Tobriner, just to name a few.
Bruce, seriously, think about it!
